PC Pal standard Warranties
PC Pal Ltd.
manufactures
its hardware products from parts and components that are new or
equivalent to new in accordance with industry-standard practices.
Before shipping a computer system, PC Pal Ltd. "runs-in" the system
continuously for at least 24 hours, and then records a full diagnostic
report, making sure everything functions properly.
WHAT
IS COVERED -- PC Pal Ltd. warrants that the hardware products it
sells are free from defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty
also covers damage due to the shipping of products to you. This
warranty does not cover damage due to external causes, including
accident, abuse, misuse, problems with electrical power, acts of third
parties, servicing not authorised by PC Pal Ltd., usage not in
accordance with instructions accompanying the product(s), failure to
perform required preventive maintenance, including but not limited to
backups, and problems caused by use of software, parts and components
not supplied by PC Pal Ltd.. This warranty does not cover software,
external devices; accessories or other parts added to a PC Pal Ltd.
system after the system is shipped from PC Pal Ltd.; or accessories or
parts that are not installed in the PC Pal Ltd. workshops. Monitors,
keyboards, and mice that are included on PC Pal Ltd.'s standard price
list are covered under this warranty; monitors that are included on PC
Pal Ltd.'s standard price list are still bound to original
manufacturers' pixel and warranty policy; all other monitors,
keyboards, and mice are not covered.
LENGTH OF WARRANTY -- The warranty term for new
desktop computer systems purchased from PC Pal Ltd. is one (1) year
beginning on the date of the invoice, as further described below.
Motherboard, Hard Drive, CPU, RAM, Video Card, and LCD monitor came
with the new desktop computer system and parts and upgrades sold
separately from the computer system carry a one (1) year term as
further described below. Notebook computers purchased from PC Pal Ltd.
carry a one (1) year warranty as further described below.
"DEAD
ON ARRIVAL" REPLACEMENT OR REFUND POLICY -- PC Pal Ltd. has a special
policy for all new product purchased from PC Pal Ltd. that fails to
work properly upon delivery. Provided a Return Merchandise
Authorisation number, described below, is obtained during the first
seven days following delivery, defective product may be returned to PC
Pal Ltd. for a complete refund, or replacement with a new product.
Refer to the telephone number in the warranty materials shipped with
your computer, or call PC Pal Ltd. on 01603 766716 during the
first seven days following delivery to request a Return Merchandise
Authorisation number, and follow the return procedures described below.
THIRTY
DAY MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE -- For the first 30 days, beginning on the date of the
invoice, PC Pal Ltd. will refund your purchase price on returned of the
product. Call PC Pal Ltd. on 01603 766716 during the first seven days
following delivery to request a Return Merchandise Authorisation
number, and follow the return procedures described below. The purchase
price, minus a 25% restocking fee, will be refunded for product
returned in the same manner up to 30 days after the invoice date.
Shipping charges are non-refundable. NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS are allowed
after 30 days from the date on the invoice.
IF
YOU HAVE A PROBLEM COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY -- Upon PC Pal Ltd.'s prior
written consent, PC Pal Ltd. will repair or replace products returned,
in their original or equivalent packaging, to PC Pal Ltd.'s facility.
To request warranty service, you must call within the applicable
warranty period. Call PC Pal Ltd. on 01603 766716. Please have your
invoice number, date of purchase, serial number and description of the
problem available. Once your warranty is verified, PC Pal Ltd. will
issue a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number, which is valid
for fifteen days. Any product returned to the workshops that does not
have a valid RMA number visible on the outside of the package will be
refused. Product that is not defective may be returned to the sender
with C.O.D. freight charges collect. You must ship the product shipping
charges prepaid, and insure the shipment or accept the risk of loss or
damage during shipment. PC Pal Ltd. will ship the repaired or
replacement products to you freight prepaid if you use an address in
the U.K. Shipments to other locations will be made freight collect.
SHIPPING
YOUR SYSTEM -- Ship the product back to PC Pal Ltd. in their
original or equivalent packaging. Clearly mark the RMA number on the
outside of the carton, preferably under your return address such as:
RMA: XXXXXXX. All returns for exchange or refund must be complete with
all components, manuals, cables, warranty cards, software disks and
static bags, just as you received it. If the product is not returned in
its entirety, you will be charged for missing items. NOTE: Before you
ship the product(s) to PC Pal Ltd., we recommend that you back up the
data on the hard-disk drive(s) and any other storage device(s) in the
product(s). Remove any removable media, such as diskettes, CDs, or PC
Cards. If you have any questions, call PC Pal Ltd. for technical
assistance.
REPAIR
OF YOUR SYSTEM -- PC Pal Ltd. owns all parts removed from repaired
products. PC Pal Ltd. uses new and reconditioned parts made by various
manufacturers in performing warranty repairs and building replacement
products. If PC Pal Ltd. repairs or replaces a product, the warranty
term is not extended.
CROSS-SHIPMENTS
-- PC
Pal Ltd. will ship replacement product before receipt of returned
product, subject to the above warranty provisions, only at PC Pal
Ltd.'s discretion and when the cross-shipment is guaranteed by credit
card or other acceptable credit arrangement.
SHIPPING
DAMAGE AND DISCREPANCIES -- If you receive your order
with incorrect or missing components, you must notify PC Pal Ltd. in
the manner described above within seven days of receipt. In the event
of shipping damage, notify the shipping carrier immediately and request
a damage report, and also notify PC Pal Ltd. in the manner described
above.
THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE
OTHER RIGHTS UNDER THE LAWS OF THE UNITED KINGDOM. PC Pal Ltd.'s
RESPONSIBILITY FOR MALFUNCTIONS AND DEFECTS IN HARDWARE IS LIMITED TO
REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT AS SET FORTH IN THIS WARRANTY STATEMENT. ALL
EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES FOR THE PRODUCT, INCLUDING BUT NOT
LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE ONE-YEAR WARRANTY
PERIOD, AND NO WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WILL APPLY AFTER
SUCH PERIOD.
PC Pal Ltd. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE BEYOND THE REMEDIES SET FORTH IN THIS
WARRANTY STATEMENT AND SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LIABILITY FOR
PRODUCTS NOT AVAILABLE FOR USE, OR FOR LOST DATA OR SOFTWARE.

is not required to advise or remind you of appropriate backup and other
procedures.
